Chapter 87 - Two Months, Part 3
"Jin-san, can I talk to you for a moment?"
As I was leaving the cafeteria to return to my room, I heard a voice from behind and stopped to turn around. It was Zeph.
"Zeph-san, what brings you here at this hour?"
"Oh, it's just that since you were here, Jin-san, I thought I should inform you. Tomorrow, after Princess's protection duty is over, there's something I'd like to discuss with you, so could you please make some time?"
"I understand. Is it about the household matters?"
I looked at Zeph's face and guessed what the conversation might be about. Spending nearly two months investigating household matters likely meant some issues had been uncovered.
After that, I returned to my room, completed my usual daily tasks, and lay down on the bed to sleep.
"Hey, Jun-kun, I've been thinking for a while now, but have you gained more muscle?"
The next day, when I arrived at the academy, Miliana, who was talking to Princess, said this to me and started patting my body.
During these two months, I had been training with the soldiers to improve my physical abilities, so I had indeed gained more muscle compared to before.
Perhaps she was curious about my strength given the amount of muscle I had put on.
"Well, it's part of my duties as a guard. I train every day."
"Wow, but with this physique, aren't you training more than just as a guard? What do you think, Fi-chan?"
Miliana, forgetting her homework once again, turned to Princess, who was watching something intently.
"He's strong. After all, I chose him as my guard. It wouldn't make sense if he weren't stronger than the academy students, right?"
"Wow, Fi-chan, it's unusual for you to be so confident. So, Jun-kun, are you really that strong?"
Upon hearing Princess's words, Miliana blinked in surprise and looked at me with great curiosity.
In response to Miliana's inquiries, Princess returned the notebook she had borrowed, saying, "Yes, Milia. Thanks," and then continued to watch me.
Miliana seemed disappointed, saying, "I really wanted to see how strong Fi-chan says you are."
After expressing her disappointment, Miliana returned to her seat when the teacher arrived.
However, she continued to express interest in my strength, and Princess eventually asked her why she suddenly became so curious.
"Well, we're going on a long break soon, right?"
"Yes, but how does that relate to wanting to see Jun and the others show their strength?"
"You see, the last time a student went on a break, they came back changed. So, I was wondering if Jun-kun and the others would change too. If they're as strong as Fi-chan says, I'm curious about their abilities."
Upon hearing Miliana's words, Princess replied, "Well, it's already decided that they will change."
"I see... So, it's like that. Too bad."
With Princess's words, Miliana seemed to have given up and returned to her seat.
Afterward, while Miliana appeared calm, she seemed somewhat down, and Princess kept a close eye on her.
"Princess, if it's Miliana-san and Tiana-san, I think we can show them a little. They've been kind to us for these two months, and I believe they'll keep their promise not to reveal anything."
"Is that okay?"
On the way back to the castle after school, Chloe and I discussed it and decided that it was alright to show Miliana and Tiana a bit of our abilities. We informed Princess of our decision.
During these two months, Miliana and Tiana, as Princess's guards, had treated us very kindly. Having observed their personalities, we decided to grant Miliana's request.
"Well, if we do it at the academy, it will become known to many people. So, if we're going to show them, we'll have them come to the castle."
A few days later, Princess invited Miliana and Tiana to the castle on a day off from the academy.
