Boundary Labyrinth and the Foreign Magician. C187

187 Craftsman and Banquet

"...So, the first order will be for delivery to the royal family and the royal castle."

King Melvin is placing an order for the shop, so instead of me making it, the craftsmen will be making it and delivering it.

Miriam explained the current situation to the craftsmen she had brought in from the bosses of the Commerce and Industry Guild. As expected, there are quite a lot of dwarves. The location is Higashi Ward. This is an explanation for Miriam to gather inside the store she was looking for. There is a garden at the back of the store, which will be used as a processing facility.

"Suddenly the royal family..."

"That's good news for the economy."

These are craftsmen who suddenly stand out.

Yeah. I also hope that this will lead to motivation. I couldn't have asked for more as a first job.

“So, this is a sample of the product.”

Remove the cloth and show the product sample to the craftsmen. It is presented in the form of a finished product, as well as in a form that can be disassembled into parts and materials and assembled.

There are many items that cannot be found elsewhere, so it's best to first understand what they are. The best way to get people to understand the contents of a product is to actually touch and play with it. The aim may also be to deepen friendships.

"Yeah? This guy...is it formed by magic or polished...?"

"We also use magic to modify small parts... But even if we do that, it's outrageous..."

Because of my occupation, I seem to focus on different places. He has a serious expression as he looks at the spherical surface of the billiard ball as if it is shadowed by the light, and lines up the patterns on the back of the cards.

"I would like you to make these. I think I may bring another prototype in the future. Also, please burn or engrave this design on your products."

Place the stone medal on the table. The craftsmen nod in agreement when they see the design.

"Isn't it interesting? If you were able to show us this much with magic, there's no way we, who have real jobs, would be defeated."

"I see. Looks like it'll be worth it."

"Please try it out by actually playing and using it. I think you will be able to see what you need to pay attention to to make it better."

When I said that, the craftsmen smiled, read the rules, and started spending their time as they pleased, throwing darts, playing cards, and spinning the shaved ice machine.

It's a dwarf craftsman whose eyes are black and white after drinking a carbonated drink. His beard makes it hard to eat cotton candy, but his fellow craftsmen point fingers at him and laugh at him...well, the best part is that he seems to be enjoying it.

"What do you think?"

After I finished my explanation, Miriam asked me.

"I'll have to show you my skills from now on, but...I think I can rely on you."

"That was good."

Miriam smiles.

He seems to have a lot of experience in knowing that it was made with magic. If he has a good eye for observation, he will probably make something good, and he seems to be highly motivated.

“Does it feel like the preparations for opening the store are mostly complete?”

Alfred smiles.

"That's right. We've also put up a signboard."

It is a hanging signboard with the logo mark. It's made from a copper plate and looks great...Viola worked on it.

The name of the store is Breitwelt Labyrinth Company.

This is because it is a derivative of the Breitwelt workshop, and the products made at the workshop are distributed. Alfred said he wanted to include the labyrinth part with the Boundary Theater, so we included it.

In the future, I am thinking of using it as a place of employment for the residents of Labyrinth Village and the children from the orphanage. I think if placing the company's products in the royal castle becomes a hot topic, we might be able to get orders, but I wonder what will happen.

"So, it's not a celebration of the store's opening, but...I'd like to invite Alfred and Miriam to my house."

It feels like it's just as promised. Miriam's eyes lit up when she told him that.

"Thank you for inviting me today."

Heather, the receptionist at the adventurer's guild, bows her head politely. Three people from the Adventurer's Guild are Auria, Oswald, and Heather. Forest Bird, Justia, and Dominic are also there.

Heather used to have a lot of contact with me, and recently she has been working in theater-related fields.

"Please, come here."

"Huh. This is it."

When Cecilia came to guide her, Auria widened her eyes a little.

"My name is Auria. Please take care of me. Friends of the forest."

Cecilia looked a little nervous, but she smiled and held out her hand to Auria.

“Thank you very much. Auria-sama.”

Cecilia also smiled and took his hand.

"However, I haven't been back to the forest for a while. It's presumptuous for someone like me to call myself a friend of the forest."

"I'm similar."

"I see. We're all living in the same land now. If you have any trouble, you can always come to us for advice."

"thank you"

It seems like Auria was able to open up to him without any trouble, partly because she was friendly. Elves who have moved away from the forest and are used to living in human settlements don't really care about the rules of their race. I know that, but even among them, Auria is special because she has a deep understanding.

Invited guests are coming one after another. The breakdown of the guests to the banquet is Alfred, Viola, Talcott, and Miriam, who are related to the workshop. Then there are the master dwarves of the craftsmen. And Ophelia and Cindy. Penelope, the head priestess from the Moon Temple, and Sandra, the director of the orphanage. Mildred, Chester, and Mercedia from the Knights. It also helped that there were some residents of the labyrinth village... it turned out to be quite a lively event with a large number of people.

...Well, at first I didn't have any intention of making it this big. Once I called out to a few people, everything was over in an instant.

Well, only some of the people involved in the workshop will be staying overnight.

In the recreation room and courtyard, there are dishes prepared by Grace, Cecilia, Mihaela, and the residents of the labyrinth village. It was prepared in the morning, so it was quite luxurious. There are many different ways to make it, such as a bird stuffed with herbs and then grilled.

``I'm glad to have everyone here to celebrate our opening.Although it's a small venue, I hope you enjoy today.''

When I bowed my head in greeting, the audience applauded.

``I think it would be more fun to listen to the performance than my boring greeting, so I'll leave this to the girls.''

With that, I bowed once more and stepped off the edge of the fountain.

After I finished my greeting, Irmhild and the others started playing. It is a bright and lively melody that is suitable for a banquet. Isn't it true that just listening to it makes me feel like I'm floating?

"That's rare! Well, the things in this mansion are all rare... It's a benefit to be able to listen to their performance without having to wait until the next full moon."

Miriam's eyes are shining. In front of his line of sight was the drum set that Sheila was playing. Irmhild and I looked at each other with smiles and seemed to be having a lot of fun playing.

"It's a combination of several types of percussion instruments. Once you're skilled to a certain extent, you can handle the percussion instruments on your own. In Sheila's case, it's more about her dexterity than her skill."

"I see……"

Sheila's rhythm is accurate even though she protects her hearing from the volume of the drums with earmuffs that incorporate wind magic. His drumstick handling is also amazing. This is because they have excellent dexterity and reflexes.

"Are you going to sell that as a product? I think it would be better to wait until the store is back on track and you can afford it."

"Yes, I think it's revolutionary. I know some musicians, so I thought I'd ask them for their opinions next time."

Even though she said that, Miriam seemed to be convinced of something.
